Situated near the village of St. Neot on Bodmin Moor we have chosen Trevenna, a converted farm set in the heart of the picturesque Cornish countryside, to host our wedding. The entire wedding day, from ceremony through to the evening reception, will be taking place on site so once you have arrived no further travelling will be required until you're all partied out!
Since everyone will be travelling to Cornwall from all around the country, Trevenna is hosting a BBQ on the evening before the wedding. Everyone is welcome to join us at a small cost - you don't need to decide right away as we will be in touch nearer the time to confirm numbers.
The celebrations start from 1pm on the wedding day when the bar at Trevenna will be open for pre-ceremony drinks. The ceremony will take place at 2pm followed by a drinks reception and wedding breakfast. Evening guests are invited to arrive from 7pm for drinks and dancing till midnight.
Trevenna is easily accessible from main roads into Cornwall and about a 20 minute taxi ride from either Bodmin or Liskeard train stations. The address for the venue is below:
Any one not staying on site will need to leave the venue at midnight on the night of the wedding. As the venue is in a rural location local taxis are limited so will need to be booked at least a week in advance to ensure that you have someone ready to pick you up. There is some accomodation on site at Trevenna which has already been allocated to family and extended wedding party, if you have been allocated a room details will be included with your invite.
There are plenty of places to stay within a short distance of the venue, we have included a list here reccommended to us by Trevenna. This list is not exhaustive, but is hopefully a good starting point. All of the accomodation currently has availability for our dates, but as most are B&Bs and only have a few rooms, we'd recommend early booking.
We researched venues from all over the place - we even had a spreadsheet! - and found Trevenna to be the wedding venue that ticked all the boxes for us. It also happens to be in beautiful Cornwall, which is a bonus.
Why are you getting married on a Monday?
Sorry about that! The date we have chosen was one of the few that Trevenna had left for Summer 2015. We are hoping people who are working don't mind taking a few days off work to attend. Since the weekend following our wedding is the August Bank Holiday, why not combine the wedding with a few additional days exploring Cornwall?
Can I bring my partner, significant other or a plus one?
We'd love to have everyone at the wedding but unfortunately our budget doesn't stretch that far, only people named or if we've specifically allowed for a plus one on the invite can they come along.
I have an invite for the evening, would I be able to come along for the ceremony and then come back in the evening?
Unfortunately not. We can only have a set amount people in the venue for the actual ceremony so are having to limit it to day guests only.
Will the ceremony be outdoors?
Hopefully - if the British summer permits.
Do you have a gift list?
We appreciate that getting down to Cornwall on a Monday in August isn't easy and might not come cheap. We know it's a cliche, but to us, you making the journey to celebrate our wedding is gift enough. If, however, your generosity demands that you get us a gift we have set up a list at honeyfund. What food will there be during the day?
There will be canapes served immediately after the ceremony and we will be sitting down for the wedding breakfast at around 16:00. Snacks will be served during the evening reception.

We will be getting in touch with everyone who can make it nearer the time with regards to food choices.
